Welcome to the Hayward – Ghazni Sister City Committee.

HGSCC is a dedicated non-profit organization comprised of volunteers in the San Francisco Bay Area, is embarking on a mission to empower Afghan women through education, long-term projects, and direct assistance.

In 2006, the Mayor of City Hayward in California and the Mayor of Ghazni city in Afghanistan established a sister city relationship to foster mutual support and collaboration between their communities.

This project aims to provide clean drinking water to a specific village in Afghanistan by drilling a deep borehole well and installing a solar-powered. This will significantly improve the health and quality of life for the village residents.
